Support for start-ups of engineers: Former Toshiba employee consulting business which was invested by US companies

Toshiba's new business development team gathered, and a technology consulting company, Fledge Technology (FTI, Tokyo, Representative Hidetaka Yamamoto, 03-3509-7720) is established. Utilize the experience of commercializing many high-tech products such as mobile devices, excavate the buried technology of large companies, and support for the start-ups of engineers.

FTI was founded by four members, including Yamamoto of the Toshiba Advanced-I (ADI) Business Division, which had been operating until last spring. It has a capital of 185 million yen, invested by US venture capital (VC) and NI F Ventures (Tokyo / Chuo), and well-known US entrepreneurs such as Kamran Elahian and Brian Dougherty. In addition to helping with technical evaluation, business planning, and finding management, it also negotiates the use of patents held by large companies. The request for technical evaluation from VC is also accepted.
